Gas Flow Meter Manufacturer

Gas Flow Meter is specifically used for precise measurement of gas flow in the industrial pipelines. It uses the thermal mass flow measurement technology to provide the precise readings. This flow meter can measure the flow of any type of gas with negligible pressure loss and consistent performance. These gases include compressed air, natural gas, LPG, biogas, nitrogen, and oxygen.

Overview

The Gas Flow Meter makes use of thermal mass flow technology that allows direct measurement of the mass flow of gases without needing to compensate for pressure and temperature separately.

It features a double platinum RTD sensor that is placed in a stainless steel protective housing and is suitable for measuring flow of gases in harsh industrial conditions.

This device is intended to measure flow of gases like air, natural gas, LPG, biogas, and flue/flare gas.

No moving parts, low pressure loss, and high turndown ratio make it an instrument that is easy to operate and maintain.

This is the style we will follow in writing all the papers on the topic.

Working Principle

Thermal Dispersion Sensing
The Gas Flow Meter uses thermal dispersion technology with two RTD sensors positioned in the gas flow path.

Dual-Sensor Measurement
One sensor measures the gas temperature while the second sensor is electrically heated to maintain a controlled temperature difference.

Heat Transfer Measurement
As gas passes the heated sensor, it carries heat away through convection. The amount of heat removed increases with gas flow velocity.

Mass Flow Calculation
The electronics continuously monitor the heat transfer required to maintain the temperature difference and calculate the gas mass flow rate.

Digital Output & Monitoring
The measured flow is converted into standard flow units and can be transmitted through available outputs for process monitoring and control.

Direct Gas Measurement
Thermal mass measurement provides direct mass flow readings without requiring separate pressure or temperature compensation.

Why Gas Flow Meter Manufacturer

Direct Gas Mass Measurement

Thermal mass measurement provides direct measurement of gas mass flow, making it useful for applications where accurate gas consumption monitoring is required.

Minimal Pressure Loss

The absence of mechanical moving parts in the measurement principle results in very low pressure loss, helping maintain efficient gas flow through the pipeline.

Low Maintenance

With no rotating mechanical components, the meter requires less mechanical maintenance and offers reliable long-term operation.

Excellent Low-Flow Sensitivity

The thermal sensing principle provides strong sensitivity at low gas flow rates, making the meter suitable for applications where monitoring low consumption is important.

Easy Plant Integration

With 4–20 mA and RS485 Modbus communication, the meter can be integrated into existing industrial automation, PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.

Industrial Construction

The meter can be supplied with stainless-steel wetted components and a flameproof enclosure option for demanding industrial environments.

Application-Specific Configuration

Gas type, flow range, pressure, temperature, pipe size and installation conditions can be considered while configuring the flow meter for a particular application.
