Working Principle
Entry of Fluid
The LPG gas passes through the pipe into the meter body from where it moves to the measuring part where it is forced towards the sensing device to measure the flow rate accurately.
Flow Sensing
Depending on the type of meter used, the flowing gas either turns the precision rotor turbine or moves past the sensing device which emits pulses in proportion to the flow rate.
Pulse Sensing
The pulses are sensed using a non-contact sensing device which transforms the mechanical movement or flow sensing pulses into pulses without interfering with the flow process.
Temperature or Pressure Compensation
In case of applications requiring temperature and pressure compensation, the transmitter measures the values together with the flow signal to ensure accurate flow measurements in different operating conditions.
Data Presentation and Output
The data from the transmitter is shown on the local indicator and transmitted through output options such as 4-20 mA, pulse output, and RS485 Modbus to PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems based on the specific model used.
